The project contains equipment, installed at 23 gas wells (remote objects) situated in the field, equipment for the central control room and software.
In the any remote object the data are collected and kept in archives by specialized programmable logic controller (PLC) with low energy consumption, "sleep mode" and function "data logger". Besides the data about the status of the monitored object information about the status of the equipment itself, protection alarms, exploitation and alarm events is collected. The accumulated data are transmitted by radiomodem to the central control room. The PLC controls also accumulator battery and a small solar panel, which supply power supply to the PLC itself, radiomodem and the measuring equipment. The time schedules for the measuring and communication may be modified remotely, the programmable parameters of the PLC can be changed remotely as well. The above mentioned field equipment is intrinsically safe and is working in explosive atmosphere and hard weather conditions - –25o ÷ +70o С.
In the central control room a specially designed server collects the data from the PLCs and piles them in MS SQL data base. Client software applications, working with the server via LAN, WAN or telephone lines, provide a number of reports and a real-time connection with the remote objects. By connection with the local SCADA system dispatchers can monitor the gas well's statuses (measured parameters, alarms) on a videowall desktop. The environment conditions around the gas wells are defined as explosion risky. The equipment delivered under the project is fully conformable to the Customer highest requirements for quality and completeness conditioned by the hard working environment and the applicable Bulgarian regulations and standards in force.
